-Vandalism – Florida Statute 741.24 states that parents or legal guardians of any person under the age of 18 are liable for any minor who maliciously or intentionally destroys or steals property.
-Driving – Any person under the age of 18 must have a verified person sign their driver’s license. Under Florida Statute 322.09, the verified person (typically a parent or guardian) is held liable for any negligent or willful misconduct of a minor while driving.
-Underaged Drinking – Florida prosecutors have increased the level of responsibility for parents who allow their children to have parties where alcohol is served, especially to children who are underage. Parents can be held liable for any accidents or harm which may occur at the party or while a child is driving after the party.
